FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Vanguards to Distribute Lithium Ion DetectorsCity residents to receive benefitJune 22, 2008 -- The Vanguards of Cleveland have begun implementation of a community assistance program that will provide lithium ion battery operated smoke detectors to City of Cleveland residents, including installation, at no cost. "The major advantage of these smoke detectors over standard models is that the resident will never need to change the battery. In standard smoke detectors the battery must be changed every six months or you risk the unit not working when you might need it the most. Our lithium ion detectors have batteries that last ten years after which you just replace the entire detector", states Anthony Luke - President of the Vanguards. For More Information Contact: |
